CAMP LEJEUNE/QUANTICO TRIP PACKING LIST 2012

RECOMMENDED AND REQUIRED EQUIPMENT AND PERSONAL ITEMS

TRAVEL UNIFORM IS JEANS AND ROTC SWEATSHIRT

1. Uniform Items (male and female) to be brought Quantico/Camp Lejeune.

1. Khaki Uniform:

- (2) Khaki shirt

- (2) Khaki trousers

- (1) Khaki belt (brass tip)

- (1) Brass belt buckles

- (1) Khaki garrison cap

1. Other Uniform Parts and Accessories:

- (1) Black leather shoes (NJROTC issued shoes)

- (1) NJROTC Black Sweater w/leather Nametag

- (1) Relaxed Fit Jacket

- (1) NJROTC collar devices/Rank Insignia/Stars (No Ribbons or Medals or Ropes)

- (1) Small fouled anchor (for garrison caps)

- (1) Nametag

2. Non uniform items – to be brought by all cadets:

- (1) SLEEPING BAG AND PILLOW

- (1) CONSERVATIVE STYLED SHIRT FOR ON-BASE LIBERTY

AT CAMP LEJEUNE AT NIGHT. (COLLARED/POLO TYPE)

- (1) pair gym shoes

- (2) pair gym shorts (blue preferred; must be solid color)

- (2) pair black socks

- (2) pair white athletic socks

- (1) can shoe polish (NO LIQUID; with shine cloth and old tooth brush)

NOTE: Bring BRASSO/NEVERDULL also.

- (2) T-shirts (other than under garments, for PT/Events)

- (2) White T-Shirts for wear with the Uniform

- (1) Complete Set ROTC Sweat outfit for night wear

- (1) Pair shower shoes

- (2) Bath towels

- (2) Wash Cloths

- (1) Laundry bag

- (1) Fingernail Clippers

- Necessary undergarments as required.

- Necessary toilet and hygiene articles (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, SOAP DISH, shampoo, shaving gear, deodorant, feminine products, etc.)

- (1) Flashlight

- Medicine as required (To be turned over to Instructors upon departure

WITH Instructions/Directions for Use/Times to be Taken.)

1. NOTES:

- All T-Shirts are to be “Crowned Neck”----NO V-neck shirts.

- Mark ALL items of clothing

- No off color hair pins or “scrunchies”

It starts to get busy as we head toward winter break and our trip to Camp Lejeune, NC.  Drill teams focus has shifted to Wm Floyd competition on 3 March.  Presidents Academic Team is preparing for the 2nd round and the Winter Awards Ceremony is almost upon us.  Cadets:  Last uniform Day of the 2nd Quarter is Tuesday.  This is your last leadership grade of the quarter.  We instructors swtch schools on 30 January.  I will be at GHS, SCPO at SHS and NC1 at MHS.

I HAVE ATTACHED A REVISED GEAR LIST FOR CAMP LEJEUNE.  IF YOU NEED OLD KHAKIS PLEASE GET THEM ISSUED THIS WEEK FROM SUPPLY ON TUESDAY!!!!

Wed 25th - 1600 Comm Svc Soup Kitchen Southold Prebyterian Church

Thu 26th - 1830 NS1/Basic SHS Elem
1930 - Cadets Ireland/Batist/Hinsch - Brief for 8th Grade Parents at MHS for Technology Night (Library/Auditorium in NSUs or SDBs)

Fri 27th - 1500 NS1 Competition Color Guard Departs for Brooklyn Aviators Color Guard - Hockey Game:-)

Sat-Sun - Open

Mon 30th - 1730 Parent/Cadet Academy and ROTC Scholarship Meeting - SHS Auditorium - Geared toward 11th Graders but all welcome:-)
